Boca's coach, Fernando Gago, has confirmed the starting lineup that will take the field at the Brigadier Estanislao López Stadium in Santa Fe this Wednesday night to face Argentino Monte Maíz in the thirty-second round of the Copa Argentina.
With the absences of Edinson Cavani, Marcos Rojo, Cristian Lema, Tomás Belmonte, and Ignacio Miramón, the team's head coach arranged an eleven with the inclusion of three of the six signings: Ayrton Costa in defense, Ander Herrera in midfield, and Carlos Palacios in attack.
The novelty in the starting formation is the presence of a "double five" made up of Herrera and young Camilo Rey Domenech. Boca's eleven for the match includes Leandro Brey in goal; Luis Advíncula, Lautaro Di Lollo, Ayrton Costa, and Marcelo Saracchi in defense; Ander Herrera, Camilo Rey Domenech, Braian Aguirre, Exequiel Zeballos in midfield; Carlos Palacios and Miguel Merentiel in attack.
Gago was impressed by Merentiel's performance in a friendly match against Juventude from Brazil, so the Pilar player will get his chance in the first team against the Cordoban team in the Federal A Tournament. Aside from these updates, the starting lineup that the coach will present will not differ much from the eleven he has been using since his arrival at the team in the second half of last year.
